Our Raising-PUPS program consists of volunteers (and their family members) who serve as foster families for a puppy for the first 12-18 months of a pup's life. The Puppy Raisers teach the dog basic obedience commands, socialization, attend pet therapy classes, and introduce the dog into the community through visitations to restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, public events, etc. This training prepares a puppy for a future life of service work, and establishes the high standards expected by these valuable canines.
