Praising-PUPS
A lot of Domesti-PUPS volunteers like to think that “dog” is just “God” spelled backwards. A little cornball? You betcha. But no other animal demonstrates God’s nonjudgmental, unconditional love quite like a dog. Praising-PUPS is a faith-based branch of our pet therapy program that works in partnership with local churches to share the word of God through the assistance of the human-animal bond.

The process for becoming a Domesti-PUPS Therapy Dog:
Once a team is certified, they continue doing two visits each month (one visit per month for Edu-PUPS) to remain active in the group. Teams will visit specific facilities that we have relationships with (nursing homes, schools, hospitals, hospice, events). Teams are also expected to volunteer at events to promote the organization when possible. Reading-PUPS and Edu-PUPS both require an additional inservice after the certification course requirements have been met.
