NORA

Nora and Drago are brother and sister, but do not need to be adopted together.  They are 55-60 lb. husky/aussie/catahoula mixes that are about 1 1/2 years old. They were raised with a group of other large breeds.  They have not been cat or small dog tested.  These two didn't have much early socialization, so change is very scary for them - their new owners will need to give them plenty of time to settle in, learn the new house and schedule, and warm up to all new family members.  Young children will need to be supervised closely as sudden moves are a little frightening.  Drago (lighter color) really counts on a confident dog sibling to help make him feel safe. He needs lots of encouragement, but bonds quickly to his person and has started to enjoy some easy games of fetch. Drago considers his crate a safe place and will go there if he needs a break. Nora (darker coloring) tends to be a protector, so once she adopts her family, she should be a great home and family protector, but she will need time to build trust. She is quiet in her crate, though she would rather not be in it.
